About Global Impact Forum

The UN MDG Awards will be underpinned each year by the Global Impact Forum. The forum is a roundtable discussion of the UN MDG between Nobel Peace Laureates and UN Leaders. The two groups will be joined via a satellite link and their discussion will take place in the United Nations Economic and Social Council (EcoSoc) Chamber. The Global Impact Forum will generate meaningful dialogue and concrete plans that will assist us all in achieving the UN MDG by 2015.

Annually, we will broaden the groups actively participating in the Global Impact Forum by including schools, universities, non-governmental organisations and ministries. People will be invited via the web-interaction to discuss the UN MDG along with other critical issues facing humanity and our planet.
