Since 1990 Kim has been making documentary films all over the world. From 1991's The Dolphin's Gift up to the present day, with international award winning film Whaledreamers, about to be released theatrically all over the world including USA, Australia and the UK. www.whaledreamers.com

His non profit project in based in California Heart Magic works with the International Humanities Center and is dedicated to helping preserve indigenous wisdom. He completed his first full length documentary "The Dolphins Gift" in 1991 based on his encounter with a wild hermit dolphin, Fungie, from Dingle Bay, on the west coast of Ireland. "It was a meeting that profoundly changed my perspective on life."

Two years later, in 1993, Kindersley completed his second film, "The Dolphins Story", narrated by Kiefer Sutherland. Kim travelled to Belize, Central America after hearing about another friendly female dolphin, Peto. This warm tale of a young girl's dream to swim with a dolphin in the wild earned Kindersley a finalist place in the US Television Awards for "Best Director".

For his third film, Kim collaborated with producer Adrian Mondsey in 1994 to make "The Dolphin, a Magical, Musical Mystery" with Julian Lennon, featuring Van Morrison, members of the Irish band Clannad and musicians Howard Blake, Raff Ravenscroft and Eddi Reader.

After an inspiring meeting through his friend Pierce Brosnan with the Dalai Lama in Tibet in 1999, Kindersley helped raise $400,000 through The Pierce's Family Foundation, for the Dalai Lama school in Katmandu.

He is currently working on a number of projects including www.circleupnow.org working with Amnesty International and The Elders who include Nelson Mandela and Kofi Anan, it is a huge global grass roots campaign to inspire the world to recognize that we need to collectively uphold the declaration of Human Rights. His next film project is called It's Time and will document many major positive events taking place around the world to build a sustainable future including the Circle Up Now events.
